Data security

The operator of this website treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the data protection legislation and this Privacy Notice. By visiting this website, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

To protect the security of your information during transmission, each transmitted information is encrypted by SSL software. An encrypted connection is displayed in modern browsers in the address bar beginning with "https://" and a lock symbol. Hence, your transmitted data remains confidential and can't be read along by third parties.

Please note that security gaps may occur during data transfer in the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail). Complete protection of data against unauthorized access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies

These web pages use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. They do not cause harm on your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make the offer more user-friendly, effective and safer.

So-called session cookies save e.g. the progress during the check-out. They are automatically deleted after your visit.

Other cookies remain stored on your device until they are no longer valid or you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit. This way, e.g. your cookie settings, login credentials, your language settings or the content of the shopping cart can be saved.

If activated in the cookie settings, cookies may be set for the analysis of your usage of this shop (see next topic: Matomo).

Matomo

This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo (previously: Piwik). Matomo also uses cookies, which allows an analysis of your use of this website so that I can improve our offer accordingly. It will be saved e.g. the number of visitors, from where visitors came to this page and which pages are visited.

For this purpose the information generated about your use of this website is stored on the server. Your IP address is anonymised before storage. The generated information about the usage of this website will not be passed on to third parties.

If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data by Matomo,

you can keep Matomo deactivated at the cookie settings. No cookies will be stored by Matomo and no user data will be collected.
Or you enable the "do-not-track" function of your browser. Your visit to these pages will be ignored by Matomo. (Even if you activated Matomo at the cookie settings.)
Or you disable cookies completely. In this case the functionality of this site will be limited though.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are:

browser type/browser version
used operating system
referrer URL
host name of accessing computer
time of server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. A compilation of this data with other data sources will not be made. I reserve the right to examine this data retrospectively when I get to know concrete evidence of unlawful use.

Collection and use of personal information

Requests

When you send me a request (e.g. via contact form, e-mail or telephone), your data will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and in the case of follow-up questions.

Orders

During the order process, private data of you will be requested and stored (name, adress and contact details, and, if applicable, company, VAT-ID, measurements). This customer data is stored and used for the order and shipping process. Therefore, required data will be transmitted to PayPal, if you choose that payment method, and to shipping service providers (including your e-mail address, if delivery announcement by carrier is available).

Purchased products are sometimes combined with similar information from other customers and displayed in a non-personally identifiable form in features such as buy recommendations.

You can order in the shop without creating an account. The so-called guest account will be deleted automatically after a successful order or if you log off. The guest account will remain, if the check-out will be interrupted e.g. by closing the browser window. I delete those guest accounts manually usually within 48 hours.

If you create a customer account, your personal information will be used additionally for the following:

for your identification and authentication,
so that you can track the processing progress of your order in your account,
your order history,
to recommend products that might interest you, and
for the evaluation system.

When using the "PayPal Express" function through the button "checkout with PayPal", your private data will be imported from your PayPal account. You can edit these data before submitting your order. Additionally, a customer account will be created in the MOORE DENIM shop. You can define a password through the link in your order confirmation or by using the "Forgot password" function.

Social Media

When visiting the Facebook page of Christian Moore Design, Facebook collects personal usage data in accordance with Facebook’s Privacy Policy.

When visiting the Instagram page of Christian Moore Design, Instagram collects personal usage data in accordance with Instagram’s Privacy Policy.

The corresponding data are provided to the site administrators as aggregated usage data that cannot be assigned to individual users (e.g. number of page views, number of clicks on posts). The site administrators use these data exclusively internally to create interesting posts for users, to communicate with (potential) customers and interested parties, and to promote events.

Please note that your “likes” and comments on any social media page can usually be seen publicly, not only by the site administrators.

Information, suspension or deletion of personal data

You always have the right for free information about your stored personal data, its origin and destination and the purpose of the data processing and the right to correction, suspension or deletion of this data with future effect.

Registered customers may delete their customer account and the therin saved data at "Your account", too.
